Salisbury baseball beats Wilson, Executive Academy

The Falcons ran into a hot team in Notre Dame of Green Pond last week.

The Crusaders beat Salisbury 11-2 in a game that was bookended by a pair of wins in close games. Executive Education Academy fought Salisbury in a 6-4 game while Wilson played the Falcons in a 6-5 game.

A pair of Notre Dame pitchers held Salisbury to just three hits, and four errors gave the Crusaders five unearned runs in the game.

Salisbury managed just four hits in its win over Executive Academy, with Garrett Leiner collecting two hits and scoring a run.

The Raptors led 2-0 when Logan Kao and Hunter Kotarski tied the game in the third, Kao with a single and Kotarski with a fielder’s choice.

The Falcons took advantage of some sloppy play and wildness on the mound in the fourth when they scored two unearned runs and Nate Nunez and Dom Gracia both drew bases loaded walks to give the Falcons a 6-2 lead.

In the win over Wilson, Salisbury got an RBI single from Tanner Kuder in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off 6-5 win against the Warriors. The hit was one of three singles for Kuder in the game.

Garrett Leiner also had three hits in the game with a run scored and two RBI. Leiner also threw two shutout innings to get the win.

Salisbury (9-6 overall, 7-6 Colonial) was rained out Saturday in a key game against Saucon Valley (11-2, 11-2). No makeup date has been announced for that game.

The Falcons play Catasauqua (7-8, 6-8), Southern Lehigh (13-2, 12-2), and Palisades (4-12, 4-11) this week.
