Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio will be the featured speaker at the Upper Milford Historical Society monthly meeting 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St., Emmaus. The presentation will include police camera footage.

Don Atkiss, former president and current treasurer of the Philadelphia Rose Society and consulting rosarian for the American Rose Society, will present the program “Effortless Elegance: Growing Low-Maintenance Roses” at the Emmaus Garden Club meeting. The event begins noon at Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus. Atkiss will share expert guidance on selecting, planting, maintaining and pruning roses. All are welcome.

June 6

The Emmaus Rotary Club presents its summer festival 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Emmaus Community Park, 1401 Shimerville Road. Proceeds will benefit the East Penn Food Coalition. Festival highlights are expected to include music performances, activities for kids and food trucks. Admission is free.

The Macungie Ambulance Corps and American Heart Association will present the Healing Hands CPR training event at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 Poplar St., Macungie. Everyone is welcome to come to learn CPR. Registration begins 9 a.m. Other highlights will include food trucks and other vendors.

June 7

The Kiwanis Club of Emmaus welcomes breakfast fans to the club’s 51st annual pancake festival 8 a.m. to noon at Emaus Fire Co. #1, Sixth and Broad streets, Emmaus. The menu features sausage and all-you-can-eat pancakes. There is a cost for tickets. Children 8 years and younger eat free. Highlights will include mascot visits and raffles.

Pink Pumpkins Coins 4 Chemo will host a cash bingo fundraiser 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Macungie Memorial Park Hall, 50 Poplar St., Macungie. Doors open 10 a.m. and bingo games will start noon. There is a cost for tickets. Seating is limited. The event benefits the Prager Patient Assistance Fund in the Lehigh Valley/Jefferson Health Network. The fund provides financial assistance to cancer patients in treatment to use for non-clinical expenses, according to organizers. Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will hold a free food distribution 2-4 p.m. Also June 24. Please note a weekly food cupboard is no longer offered. Recipients must reside in the East Penn School District. Signs will be posted with directions on where to park and which door to use to pick up food.

June 12

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will host a free community meal 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Diners can get a take-out meal or choose to eat at the church. The menu will be turkey barbecue, sides and dessert. Call the church office at 610-966-3325 for details.

Allentown Marine Band will present a patriotic concert in the church grove at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, 7 p.m. The concert will be held in the grove, weather permitting, otherwise the concert will be held in the church sanctuary. The event is sponsored by the church’s Memorial Day committee.

Lane Schultz will present the program “Rock, Ice, Dirt” at the meeting of the Upper Milford Historical Society 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St. Schultz will talk about the geology of Lehigh County. All are welcome.

June 26

Wildlands Conservancy will host a Stream Team event at Emmaus Community Park and Berger Street, Emmaus. Volunteers help maintain vegetative areas along streams and help ensure survival of young, native trees in the forest buffer to help improve water quality, reduce erosion and flooding concerns and provide habitat for wildlife. Volunteers will maintain tubes placed over the trees to protect the trees from deer, remove invasive vegetation and straighten and re-stake trees if necessary. Upper Milford Western District Fire Company will host a chicken barbecue fundraiser. Pickup for dinners is noon to 4 p.m. at the fire station, 6341 Chestnut St., Zionsville. Dinner includes one-half a Kauffman’s barbecued chicken, baked potato, applesauce and roll. Dinners will be available until sold out. There is cost for tickets. The Emmaus Garden Club Garden Tour, featuring eight beautiful and unique gardens, will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. There is a cost for tickets. The 80th annual Dillingersville Pilgrimage outdoor church service will be held 10:30 a.m. under a large tent on the grounds of the Dillingersville stone schoolhouse, 7226 School House Lane, Zionsville. A picnic lunch and a performance by the music duo Simple Gifts are among the day’s highlights. The music performance begins 12:30 p.m.

Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society will host the program “General Washington’s Command Staff in Montgomery County - 1777” 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St., Emmaus. The program will highlight Washington’s staff during his stay in Montgomery County. The program will highlight the military and civilian staff as well as enslaved people who were part of Washington’s entourage.
