Public drunk arrest

A 44-year-old male, of the 800 block of East Lexington Street, was charged April 30 with alleged public drunkenness and obstructing highways after allegedly walking in the middle of East Emmaus Avenue while drunk, according to Salisbury police.

Assault arrest

A 38-year-old male, of no known address, was charged May 2 with assault after allegedly spitting in the face of a nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, according to Salisbury police.

Drug arrest

A 68-year-old male, of Cresco, was arrested May 8 for drug possession after he allegedly had a substance believed to be fentanyl at Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, according to Salisbury police.

Disorderly group

A group of approximately 50 motor vehicles entered the parking lot of South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., revving engines and blasting loud music April 24, according to Salisbury police. Officers broke up the group a short time later, according to authorities.

A group of approximately 100 vehicles entered a parking lot at 1245 S. Cedar Crest Boulevard May 8, creating a noise disturbance, according to Salisbury police. Officers cleared the parking lot of the vehicles, according to authorities.

School grounds violation

A 17-year-old male student was cited for alleged possession of a vaping device at Salisbury High School, 500 E. Montgomery St., April 30, according to Salisbury police.

Fraud

A 48-year-old female, of Allentown, purchased an Apple iPhone and two pairs of Apple ear buds for $1,000 from a stranger while at South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., according to Salisbury police. The purchaser later discovered the iPhone was counterfeit. The incident was reported April 25.

A 62-year-old female was swindled out of $4,000 by a person claiming to work for Bank of America, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported May 4 and the scam was done by phone.

A 56-year-old female learned someone made $3,623.97 of unauthorized charges on a family member’s Electronic Benefits Transfer card, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported May 8.

Disturbances

Officers were called to Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, April 24 for a disturbance between hospital staff and a discharged patient who refused to leave the hospital, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to the 2800 block of Edgemont Drive for a dispute between two neighbors April 24, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Broadway for a domestic disturbance April 26, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to two domestic disturbance calls in the 1000 block of Dodson Street April 26, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 1100 block of East Emmaus Avenue April 27, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to a disturbance about property lines between two neighbors along in the 40 block of Birch Drive April 27, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to a disturbance between two people in the 70 block of Birch Drive April 27, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Mountain Park Road April 27, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 1300 block of Marlow Street April 28, according to Salisbury police.

Officers were called to Devonshire Park, Bevin Drive, for two males fighting May 2, according to Salisbury police. The males were gone when police arrived.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of East Susquehanna Street for four males fighting May 5, according to Salisbury police. The males were gone when police arrived.

Officers were called for a male and female having a fight in a vehicle in the area of Gottwald Drive and Seidersville Road, according to Salisbury police. “All actors were gone upon police arrival,” according to a press release.

Mutual aid

On April 28 Salisbury officers assisted Upper Saucon Township Police in the 4700 block of Route 309 at a burglary in progress, according to Salisbury police. A person was taken into custody, according to authorities.

On May 1 Salisbury officers assisted Pennsylvania State Police after a pursuit ended on South 24th Street and Lindberg Avenue after the motor vehicle crashed, according to Salisbury police.

On May 8 Salisbury officers assisted Fountain Hill Police in the area of Broadway and Dodson Street with two motor vehicle crashes, according to Salisbury police.

School bus violations

Between April 23 and May 1, a total of six school bus video violations were approved bringing this school year’s total to 222 approved violations, according Salisbury police.

Between Man 1 and May 8, a total of three school bus video violations were approved bringing the total to 225 approved violations in the current academic year.
