Benjamin Arthur Hooper, 78, of Bethlehem, died April 18, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Allentown.

Born in Keene Valley, N.Y., he was the son of the late Benjamin C. and Alma J. (Dickerson) Hooper.

He was a 1965 graduate of Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School.

He served honorably in the U.S. Army with assignments in Thailand and Vietnam.

He was employed at Pottstown General Hospital in the lab department for 46 years.

His passions for singing and cooking was spent serving a number of community churches in the Lehigh Valley area.

He is survived by nine siblings, Richard with Karen, Teresa with Dennis Elsholz, Audrey with John Malkowski, Rachel with Michael Cosgrave, Fred with Karen, Kathy with Michael LeClair, Peter, Jane with Keith Rowlands and Jay with Robin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
