Trojan T&F teams beat PV in opener

The Parkland track and field teams opened the season with wins over Pleasant Valley.

The Trojan boys swept all the running and jumping events to claim a 123-27 victory, while the Parkland girls took first in every event but one to capture a 128-22 win.

Dave Scherb won two events for Parkland, taking first place in 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles.

Four Parkland girls athletes won two events against the Bears, including Dhaniya Miner (100, 200), Ana Gbur (100H, 300H), Vanessa Ball (discus, javelin) and Samantha Schultz (long jump, pole vault).
