T&F teams roll past Dieruff
Trojan T&F keeps rolling, tops Dieruff
The Parkland boys and girls track and field teams remained unbeaten on the season with last week’s dominant victories over Dieruff. The boys team won all but two events on its way to a 123-27 victory, while the girls took down the Huskies, 121-29, by winning 15 of the 18 events.
Parkland had multiple event-winners on the boys side in both the running and jumping events. David Scherb placed first in both hurdle events (110 and 300 hurdles), while Dallas Reyes was the top finisher in the long jump and high jump events.
Rounding out the winners in the running events were: Radnor Rowlands (100-meter dash), Wesley West (200-meter dash), Logan McEvoy (400-meter dash), Marcelo Castilla (800-meter run), Luke McEvoy (1600-meter run) and Colin McGuigan (3200-meter run). All three relay teams placed first as well.
Logan DiUbaldo (discus) was Parkland’s lone winner in the throwing events, while Exzavier Seide (triple jump) and Xzavier Blocker (pole vault) won their jumping events.
The girls side had even more multiple-event winners, which included Dhaniya Miner (100- and 200-meter dashes), Vanessa Ball (discus, javelin) and Sarah Huff (long jump, triple jump).
Marley Boye (400-meter dash), Leah Frew (800-meter run), Violet Forte (1600-meter run) and Eve Horvath (3200-meter run) rounded out the individual running event winners. Two of three relay teams also took first place.
Aubrey Delong won the shot put to round out Parkland’s throwing event winners, while Morgan Anthony (high jump) and Samantha Schultz (pole vault) won in the jumps.
