The Salisbury boys tennis team had four matches in four days last week and battled a couple of the top teams in the Colonial League.
The Falcons dropped all four matches by 5-0 scores as they search for their first win of the season.
Against Palmerton last Friday, the Falcon doubles team of Harrison Stopper and Soren Ruiz won the second set of the No. 1 doubles match before falling 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
Ruiz and Stopper were also the only Falcons to take any sets against Moravian Academy as the pair fell 6-0, 6-2 last Thursday while the rest of the team dropped 6-0, 6-0 matches to the Lions.
Against Southern Lehigh last Wednesday, Gerrit Kloosterman lost a close match 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 at No. 1 singles.
Salisbury’s other match last week came against Saucon Valley. The Falcons entered this week with two regular season matches left on the schedule against Wilson (Monday, April 13) and Pottsville (April 15).
The Colonial League Championships are scheduled for Thursday with the District 11 tournaments starting the following week with the singles championships.
Moravian Academy remains atop the league standings at 10-0 in league matches with Southern Lehigh (8-1-1) just behind in the South Division. Notre Dame (Green Pond) is third overall and resides atop the North Division as the 2026 season winds down.
