PHS T&F teams beat Allen
The Parkland boys and girls track and field teams improved to 3-0 on the season with victories over Allen last week. The Trojan boys picked up a 113-37 win last Tuesday, while the girls team dominated in a 146-4 victory.
Parkland won 13 of the 18 events on the boys side, including all but one of the running events.
David Scherb placed first in the 300-meter hurdles and second in the 100-meter dash to pace the Trojans. Seven other Trojans each placed first in the remaining individual running events, to go along with the 1600- and 3200-meter relay teams capturing first.
Exzavier Seide, who placed first in the triple jump and second in the long jump, paced the Trojan boys in the jumping events.
Parkland placed first in every event on the girls side, including all three relay teams.
Kaley Seide (100-meter dash, long jump), Ana Gbur (400-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles) and Vanessa Ball (discus, javelin) were multiple first-place finishers for Parkland.
The Trojans placed first, second and third in every event except for four: 200-meter dash, discus, javelin and pole vault.
