The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber and Allentown Chamber in partnership with the City of Allentown, has announced the 18th Annual Blues, Brews & Barbecue Festival is “Red, White & Blues,” in honor of “PA250.”

The free, family-friendly festival, noon-8 p.m. June 13, will transform Hamilton Street from Eighth to 12th Street with three stages of music performers, barbecue, craft beverages and local artisans. The event is free and open to the public.

“This festival is a celebration of Allentown’s energy, culture and community spirit,” said Brittney Ciardi, Senior Vice President, Allentown Initiatives for the Allentown Chamber.

“For 18 years, the beloved Blues, Brews & Barbecue has brought people together, and this year’s ‘Red, White & Blues’ theme makes it even more special as we honor the United States’ 250th anniversary,” Ciardi said.

Headlining the 2016 festival is Jovin Webb, a Baton Rouge native who was a Top 10 finalist on “American Idol.” Webb’s chart-topping debut album, “Drifter,” was produced by Grammy-winner Tom Hambridge.

Opening the festival is The Nth Power, a genre-defying trio blending soul, funk, rock and rhythm & blues and featuring drummer Nikki Glaspie, formerly of Beyoncé’s world-tour band and Snarky Puppy.

Returning is Dustin Douglas & The Electric Gentlemen, a Pennsylvania blues-rock trio.
