Queenship of Mary Church member
Stephen G. Legath Sr., 95, of Walnutport, died April 18, 2026, at Liza’s House Personal Care Home in Danielsville. He was the husband of the late Loretta K. (DeHaven) Legath.
Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Annton and Lillian (Mitz) Legath.
He was a 1948 graduate of Northampton High School.
He served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was employed at Muhlenberg Hospital, Bethlehem, for more than 15 years before retiring in 1995. He then worked part-time for Wegman’s, Bethlehem, as a helping hand for eight years.
He was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.
He is survived by a son, Stephen G. Legath Jr. with Patricia Gormley of Delps; two daughters, Kathy L. Kremus and husband Mark of Danielsville and Robin A. Wolfer and husband Joseph of Chiefton, Colo.; a sister, Antionette Clare of Florissant, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
