Linda Kay (Peters) Apple

of Macungie

Linda Kay (Peters) Apple, 83, of Macungie, formerly of Whitehall, died peacefully April 18, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, surrounded by her family.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stanley F. and Arlene (Bernhard) Peters. She grew up in Greenawalds, where she was affectionately known as “Petey.” She was the wife of Charles A. Apple. They shared 60 years of marriage.

A graduate of Whitehall High School, Class of 1960, she was involved in many clubs and activities and continued to cherish her classmates through the planning of her high school reunions throughout the years.

She earned an associate degree from the Temple University School of Dental Hygiene, Class of 1962, and began her career in Bethlehem as a dental assistant.

She later worked as a bookkeeper for her father’s business, SF Peters Incorporated in Whitehall.

She was an active member of Saint John’s UCC Fullerton, where she faithfully served on various committees, particularly those focused on visitation and caring for others.

She also served on the social committee at Legacy Oaks in Macungie.

She had a love for sports and attended as many of her grandchildren’s games and events as possible.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Melinda Marciniak (Steve) and Kerissa Neal (Blaine); grandchildren, Mitchell, Peyton and Meredith Marciniak, Charles, Casey and Kaytlynn Neal.

Services will be held 11 a.m. April 24 in Saint John’s United Church of Christ Fullerton, 575 Grape St., Whitehall. Family will receive guests beginning 9:30 a.m.
