Girls look to make moves

Liberty and Freedom are trying to keep pace in girls lacrosse this season.

The Patriots have battled to a 3-3 mark on the season.

The Pates lost to Parkland 16-8 in their latest contest, as Karee Vandever paced the squad with four goals. She leads the team with 24 goals this season, followed by Jenelle Karabinus’ 18 goals.

The Pates host Moravian Academy this week and travel to take on Nazareth (5-1) in a battle against one of the best teams in the EPC.

Liberty (3-4) is trying to be more competitive in their contests, as the ‘Canes have lost by five or more goals in each of their defeats this year.

Lily Medaska leads the team with 12 goals and Ellis Corr isn’t far behind with 10 goals on the year. Christina Bozakis has the team lead in assists with five.

The ‘Canes have contests against Moravian Academy, Central Catholic and Northampton this week.
