It has been tough sledding for the boys’ lacrosse teams so far this season, as the three city teams have combined for only three wins between them.
Freedom leads the way with a 2-3 mark, registering their latest win with a 15-3 victory over Liberty last week.
Chase Sipel led the game with five goals and three assists, while TJ Ray and Nicholas Lyden each added three goals apiece.
Ray also had three assists in the win. He leads the team on the year with 14 goals.
The Pates have a week on the schedule where they look to build some momentum with games against Bethlehem Catholic, Moravian Academy and Pope John XXIII over the weekend.
Liberty (1-7) has struggled to find the win column, sitting in the midst of a five game losing streak.
The ‘Canes have contests against Moravian Academy and Central Catholic this week.
Bethlehem Catholic (0-5) is having another tough season, as the Hawks have been outscored 83-22 on the year.
Things don’t get any easier this week when they play Freedom and Easton.
