Resisting arrest

A 20-year-old male was arrested and charged April 4 with alleged simple assault (domestic), resisting arrest, harassment and disorderly conduct in the 3000 block of Sussex Road, according to Salisbury police.

DUI

A motorist was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving on roadways laned for traffic, obedience to traffic control devices and driving with a DUI suspended driver’s license after a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Seidersville Road March 28, according to Salisbury police.

Corruption of minors

A 41-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody April 2 and charged with alleged corruption of minors and interference with custody of children for an incident under investigation since February, according to Salisbury police.

Assault

Officers were called to the parking lot of the Commix Hotel, 3245 W. Emaus Ave., for an assault involving two people April 1, according to Salisbury police. One person was struck “but refused to cooperate with police,” according to authorities. The person who caused the assault was no longer in the parking lot when police arrived. No arrests were made.

Found child

On March 27, a 4-year-old child was found walking in the 1700 block of South Albert Street, according to Salisbury police. The child was alone and wearing only a diaper. “A local township resident, who observed this, followed the child who walked into a creek and removed the child safely,” according to a press release. The child was returned home.

Fraud

A resident of Church Road was swindled online out of $170 after making a payment in advance for a tattoo March 28, according to Salisbury police.

A resident of Cardinal Drive was swindled “out of a significant amount of money over the phone by an unknown actor,”according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported March 30.

Unwanted person

A resident of Fountain Hill allegedly became frustrated with a self-checkout register at Giant, 3300 Lehigh St., South Mall and punched the computer screen multiple times April 2, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Hit and run

Someone struck a 2017 Honda Accord in the parking lot of restaurant Bolete, 1740 Seidersville Road, March 29, according to Salisbury police. The incident was reported March 30.

Vehicle fire

Officers responded to gas station and convenience store Shell Quick Stop, 1132 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., for a vehicle that was on fire March 29, according to Salisbury police. Officers assisted fire crews as needed.

Disturbances

Officers were called to a disturbance involving two people at a location in the 1300 block of Pearl Avenue March 30, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Officers were called to a disturbance involving a resident and another person in the 600 block of East Paoli Street March 31, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Mutual aid requests

Salisbury officers responded to Valley Housing Mill, 960 Cherokee St., Fountain Hill, after mutual aid assistance was requested by Fountain Hill police during a domestic disturbance March 28. Salisbury officers assisted as needed.

Salisbury officers responded to St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, after mutual aid assistance was requested by Fountain Hill police for a disorderly group of people April 4, according to Salisbury. Salisbury officers assisted as needed.

Traffic control

On March 28 officers assisted with vehicle and pedestrian traffic control for a protest of about 350 people in the 1100 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard, according to Salisbury police. While at the protest police assisted with parking complaints and one disturbance, according to authorities. No arrests were made.

School bus violations

Between March 28 and April 4 a total of two school bus video violations were approved to bring the school year’s total to 200 approved violations, according to Salisbury police. “Over the last several weeks school bus violations have been significantly lower than usual,” according to authorities.

Found property

A gold necklace with two charms was found in the area of Gilmore Street and Federal Street April 3, according to Salisbury police. The owner of the item may contact the police department for information on how to claim the necklace.
