PSSA testing set to start for SES and SMS students
The Salisbury Township Public Works department started curbside branch pickup April 6. Branches must be clean, no longer than 5 feet long and 5 inches in diameter, bundled with twine and placed curbside after 6 p.m. April 5. Small twigs may be placed in an open container with no lid for collection.
There is a limit of no more than five bundles or containers per property.
Salisbury Elementary School will hold the next PTO dinner and meeting April 13 beginning 6 p.m. This is a great time to see what is in store for next year and even the end of this school year for our SES students. Take some time to get involved!
Looking forward, it is crazy to think we are at this point of the school year, but PSSA testing starts April 20 — 23 for ELA. This will be followed by math testing April 27 and 28 and PSSA science testing April 30 and May 1. These dates may vary slightly between SES and Salisbury Middle School so please refer to information provided to your specific student(s). It is encouraged that students are not absent these days and have a balanced breakfast to start the day.
The Salisbury High School Class of 2028 will hold a cash bingo April 19 at SMS, 3301 Devonshire Road. Doors will open 11:30 a.m. and games start 1 p.m. There is a cost for tickets. For more information, text 610-504-0351. To purchase advance tickets, use Venmo @Tricia-Dickert and add the reservation name under “what’s this for?”
All proceeds will benefit the Class of 2028 Senior Year Activities.
Salisbury Football is hosting a unique youth football camp May 9 that kids in kindergarten through grade eight may want to check out! Led by former NFL running back, Andre Williams, students will learn how to compete and prepare for a successful season. Registration information will be coming soon, but you absolutely don’t want to miss this event.
Do you have a SES student? The SES PTO is looking board members for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants are needed to fill the president, treasurer, secretary and director of fundraising positions as the current members are moving with their children to SMS. No experience is needed, just a desire to help the SES community. Attend the next PTO meeting or reach out to a current board member for more information.
The SHS Class of 1976 is planning a reunion in conjunction with the SHS multi-class reunion Aug. 29 at The Foundation Tavern in Wescosville. RSVP is preferred for the Dutch treat dinner to cathypearn@gmail.com by Aug. 15 or to ask any questions.
