Ida Bartholomew, 96, of Hokendauqua, died March 30, 2026, at home. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Bartholomew for 73 years.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Mathias and Ida (Wechsler) Geosits.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, where she was a member of the choir for many years.

She played the accordion and enjoyed polka dancing with her husband at the Edelweis Haus and at Coplay Saengerbund, where she was a member of the Edelweis Choraliers.

She is survived by a son, Robert C. of Whitehall; two brothers, Joseph and John Geosits; a sister, Helen Vetrok; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Anna and Dorothy.

There will be a calling time 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m., April 14 at the church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay, 18037.
