April 10

The Emmaus High School Jazz Esquires will host the ninth annual middle school jazz festival 5:30 p.m. at the high school, 500 Macungie Ave. There is an admission fee.

Sen. Nick Miller, D-14th and Rep. Jeanne McNeill, D-133rd, will host a seniors and veterans expo 9 a.m. to noon at St. Luke’s Sport Center, 3323 7th St., Whitehall. Various government agencies and health care organizations will offer information, resources and screenings. The Emmaus Lioness Lions Club will host a walk-through creative basket party at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 139 N. Fourth St., Emmaus, 4-7 p.m. April 10 and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 11. Ticket winners will be notified by phone beginning 2 p.m. April 11. A sheet of 25 tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance. An additional ticket will be given to anyone who brings a canned good. A lottery ticket wreath drawing will take place and there will be a bake sale. April 11

The Allentown Music Club will present the program “Early and Baroque Music: Secular and Sacred Music from 1600 to 1750” 2:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. The Dr. Albert Hofammann Scholarship Award for Young Pianists will be presented. The program is free and open to the public.

April 15

The Emmaus Historical Society will host the program, “The Borough of Emmaus and the Rotary: Working to Help Others”presented by Dr. Roger Whitcomb 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Chartered in 1926, the Emmaus Rotary Club marks its 100th anniversary this year. The program will explore the legacy of the club through a brief history and visual presentation highlighting its community impact through historic photographs and memorabilia. The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served after the program.
