Allemaengel 250 celebrates America’s birthday April 11
The Allemaengel 250 Committee sponsored by the Lynn-Heidelberg, Weisenberg-Lowhill and Albany Township Historical Societies will be celebrating our Heritage and America’s Birthday on April 11 at the Kempton Community Center, 83 Community Center Drive, Kempton.
This event will be held rain or shine.
Doors open at noon.
Parking and admission to all events is free.
Afternoon program includes speaker Michael Jesberger, noted Ben Franklin impersonator Mitchell Kramer from Philadelphia, Betsy Ross from the Betsy Ross House in Philadelphia, Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps, 1st Pennsylvania Rifle Regiment activities and student colonial encampment, Liberty Bell Replica and historical exhibits.
Free Liberty Express train rides by adjacent WK&S Railroad at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Hoedown at 6:30 p.m. with Keith Brintzenhoff.
Food available for purchase by the kitchen of the Community Center.

Helping Hands Youth Group at Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, will be holding a free community clothing event 9 a.m. to noon on April 11.
If you would like to donate gently used or new, clean clothing and shoes, please bring items to the church lobby from 9 a.m. to noon weekdays and Sundays.

The church will be hosting the Macungie Band for a free jazz concert 3-4 p.m. April 12 in the church sanctuary.

There will be a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Children’s Organ Transplant Association for Lainey 4:15-7 p.m. April 12.
Born six weeks early in August 2025, baby Lainey is fighting a big battle. After surgery for a narrowed aorta, she was diagnosed with DCM and heart failure.
She now has a Berlin Heart LVAD and is waiting for her hero heart.
Dinner includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti, meatballs, salad, breads, and desserts.

The church will also be holding a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 23.
There will be food available for purchase to help raise funds for Wreaths Across America.
They will be selling baked goods, hot dogs and drinks.

The Social Ministry at Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Road, New Tripoli, is holding a craft, yard and bake sale event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 11 to benefit World Hunger.
This event will be held rain or shine.
Some of the vendors include wood working, jewelry, 3D shadow boxes, silk flowers, crochet and knitted items, and handmade fabric items.
They will also offer breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs and other food and drink items for sale during the event in the basement.

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, will be hosting its Nickel Night Out previously known as their Penny Party April 17.
Doors open 5:30 p.m.
Games start at 7 p.m.
No pennies will be accepted.
Music will be by DJ Jason.
There will be great prizes, a 50/50 drawing, fun, fellowship and food for sale.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, (Leather Corner Post) will be holding its Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. April 4.
All children are welcome.
There will be prizes for each age group.
Hot dogs and snacks will be available for purchase.
The church’s “Wheels at the Grove” car show will take place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9.
All vehicles are welcome. Last year they had cars, trucks, and tractors.
This year they will also have a motorcycle.
All vehicles will be parked in their paved parking lot as space permits.
A small registration donation fee will be taken.
The event is free to visitors and there will be free parking.
