To the Editor:
Love him or hate him, President Donald Trump is the most consequential leader our nation has seen since Ronald Reagan. He speaks directly, governs decisively and confronts problems without sugarcoating them.
We are living in a time when the stakes for America’s future are extraordinarily high. Around the world, there are nations that would welcome a weakened United States. President Trump has made it clear that America will lead from a position of strength, not apologize from a position of weakness.
His style may not appeal to everyone. It is blunt and unapologetic. But plain speech does not make him wrong. Many Americans prefer a leader who puts this country’s security, economy and sovereignty first.
The contrast with what leadership under Kamala Harris would look like is stark. On the global stage, strength matters. More than 77 million Americans supported President Trump and millions still stand firmly behind him today.
Disagree if you must, but do not dismiss the depth of that support. For many of us, his leadership is not just preferred, it is necessary.
