Lehigh Township: Basket social set for April 12
Lehigh Township Historical Society will hold its 22nd annual Finally Spring basket social noon-3 p.m. April 12 at Blue Mountain Fish and Game Association, 4190 Wood Drive, Walnutport. Drawings begin 3:15 p.m., and you do not need to be present to win.
There will be a great selection of themed baskets, premium items, gift cards, a 50/50 drawing and a door prize.
There will be a bake sale, and the kitchen will be open. The new LTHS T-shirts and sweatshirts will be available to purchase.
Proceeds benefit Lehigh Township Historical Centre and St. Paul’s Schoolhouse maintenance.

St. Nicholas Church Knights of Columbus is holding an all-you-can-eat breakfast, planned for 8 a.m.-noon April 15 in the church social hall, 1152 Oak Road, Walnutport.
Come out to enjoy made-to-order omelets, pancakes, sausage, home fries, bacon, scrambled eggs, creamed chip beef, ham, toast and coffee, tea or juice.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit St. Nicholas Parish and Habitat for Humanity.

St. Nicholas Catholic Church will be holding a designer purse bingo April 19 at Diamond Fire Company, 110 Main St., Walnutport. Doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo starts 1 p.m.
Play for a chance to win items by Coach, Dooney and Bourke, Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Vera Bradley. There will also be a basket raffle and bake sale.
Parking is available in the lot across Main Street.

The Lehigh Township Historical Society will be holding gravestone preservation workshops 1-3 p.m. April 25, 2-4 p.m. May 3 and then 1-3 p.m. May 16 at the Berlinsville Cemetery.
This is a hands-on, basic gravestone cleaning demonstration. Information on protocols will be explained, along with recommended tools and techniques. Materials will be provided.
