Larry J. Gable, 88, of Lower Macungie Township, died March 22, 2026, at the Phoebe Home in Allentown. He and his wife, Barbara K. (Beekman) Gable, would have celebrated 22 years of marriage April 19. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Kermit and Margaret (Doney) Gable.

He was a cabinet maker by trade, retiring in 2000 from Knoll International in East Greenville and previously working for the former G. Buehler & Co. in Allentown.

In his younger years, he worked at the family business, the former Gable’s Restaurant in Emmaus.

He was a N Scale and HO Scale model train enthusiast.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Steve D. and his wife, Audrey, David A. and his wife, Angela, Lynette Pettit, Blake, David M. Vanderwall and his wife, Anne, Randolph L. Adams and his wife, Debra; brother, Kermit; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Carl and Roy.
