It’s not too late to donate to the Coplay Food Bank for the holiday weekend. The food bank, in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.

If unable to attend the scheduled time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.

The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.

Grass only can be dropped off at 1 Bridge St. Beginning April 3, brush and branch pickup begins.

Coplay Recreation and Welfare’s annual egg hunt is set for 1 p.m. April 4 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St. It is a rain-or-shine event.

The Easter Bunny will be there for free photos. Join the fun at the oldest egg hunt in Coplay. Everyone present gets a gift.

The Coplay Garden Club is getting into full swing as April arrives. The next meeting will be 7 p.m. April 30 in the St. John’s Social Hall, 18 S. Third St.

St. Peter Catholic Church is holding a Night at the Races, set for May 16 in the social hall. Doors open 5 p.m., and races begin 6 p.m.

Patrons must be 21 or older, and there is limited seating. Tickets are on sale April 11-12 after masses and at the rectory.
