April 4
The Kiwanis Club of Emmaus hosts its 74th annual Easter Egg Hunt at Emmaus Community Park, 1389 Shimerville Road, Emmaus. The event is open to children ages 10 years and younger. Admission is free and the event is held sun or showers. Special egg prizes are awarded in each age group. The egg hunt starts promptly 1 p.m.
The annual Vera Cruz Egg Hunt will start promptly 1 p.m. in Mystic Chain Park, 3718 Main Road East.
April 7
Emmaus Garden Club will meet noon at Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus. Entrance is at the back of the building/gymnasium at Bethel and St. John’s UCC, 139 N. Fourth St. The program is Gardens Without Grounds: The Joy of Container Gardening by Mike Fegley, Penn State horticulture graduate.
April 10
The Emmaus High School Jazz Esquires will host the ninth annual middle school jazz festival 5:30 p.m. at the high school, 500 Macungie Ave. There is an admission fee.
April 10, 11
The Emmaus Lioness Lions Club will host a walk-through creative basket party at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 139 N. Fourth St., Emmaus, 4-7 p.m. April 10 and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 11. Ticket winners will be notified by phone beginning 2 p.m. April 11. A sheet of 25 tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance. An additional ticket will be given to anyone who brings a canned good. A lottery ticket wreath drawing will take place and there will be a bake sale as well. The Allentown Music Club will present the program titled Early and Baroque Music: Secular and Sacred Music from 1600 to 1750 2:30 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown. The Dr. Albert Hofammann Scholarship Award for Young Pianists will be presented. The program is free and open to the public.
April 18
Habitat Lehigh Valley ReStore will host a Stuff the Truck event at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center, 3450 Brookside Road, to collect unwanted but new and gently used furniture, appliances and building supplies for resale 9 a.m. to noon.
