Support police K-9 unit March 25

The Salisbury Police Department is holding a K-9 unit fundraiser March 25. Vince’s Cheesesteak food truck will be at Eastern Salisbury Fire Department 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and $1 from every order benefits our K-9 unit. K-9 Echo and Officer Kyle Watson will be on site to meet and talk about the unit. K-9 unit shirts and hoodies will be available for purchase.
Residents of Salisbury Township and Lehigh County are invited to the board of commissioners meeting 7 p.m. March 26 as they welcome District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan who will speak on the resources available through the DA’s office as well as local and national crime trends, and how current events are affecting the criminal justice system. There will be a Q&A as well as an open discussion.
All Salisbury schools will be closed for spring break April 2-6. School will resume April 7.
The Salisbury Township Public Works Department will conduct curbside branch pickup beginning April 6. Branches must be clean, no longer than 5 feet long and 5 inches in diameter, bundled with twine and placed curbside after 6 p.m. April 5. Small twigs may be placed in an open container with no lid for collection. No more than five bundles or containers per property.
The Salisbury High School Class of 2028 is holding a cash bingo April 19 at Salisbury Middle School. Doors will open 11:30 a.m. and games start 1 p.m. Tickets are discounted in advance.
