Paige Jenkins was named Western Division Defensive Athlete of the Week last week.

Jenkins is a former Freedom players who plays for Slippery Rock as a junior.

Jenkins led a dominant SRU defensive effort last week that saw The Rock allow just seven total goals across two games. She caused two turnovers, grabbed six draw controls and picked up three ground balls in a 22-3 win over Wheeling before causing four turnovers, grabbing four ground balls and snagging two draw controls in a 9-4 win on the road at Lander. For the week, she finished with six caused turnovers, seven ground balls and eight draw controls.
