At the March 19 Lower Macungie Board of Commissioners meeting, President Ron Beitler announced the unexpected passing of the township’s solicitor, David J. Brooman, Esq. March 7.
“Brooman had been a top notch solicitor since 2020. Rest in peace David Brooman,” Beitler said.
Further words of condolences were expressed. Solicitor Mark Fischer also expressed his gratitude for Brooman’s expertise and knowledge.
Township Manager Bruce Beitel expressed his sympathy to the family.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be collecting traffic engineering data on various roads within the township. This study will run March through November. The information is used to improve roadways and traffic safety and design. Information was received from the Pennsylvania Turnpike regarding the East Texas bridge. It should be closed in October for eight months. Indian Creek Road will be closed April 1 for 140 days.
The bill list was approved. The minutes from the March 5 board of commissioners meeting were approved.
