The Upper Lehigh Lions Club will host a basket social at the Schnecksville Fire Company main hall April 10. Doors will open 5:30 p.m. and the event will begin 7 p.m. The evening includes door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
Organizer Carol Bloss said, “It’s good to bring your appetite” for barbecue and homemade desserts. If you contribute a nonperishable food item, you can receive a free 50/50 ticket, one per person.
According to Bloss, the proceeds will go to the Community Betterment Fund of the organization. “We’re not in it for ourselves; we give it all away to the charities the club supports,” Bloss said.
The Upper Lehigh Lions Club is having its first hoagie fundraiser of the year. To place an order, call Kathi at 610-799-3431 by April 6. Hoagies will be ready for pickup at the Schnecksville Fire Company 2:30-4 p.m. April 14.
Volunteers at the Schnecksville Fire Company will be cooking up an all-you-can-eat buffet style breakfast 8 a.m. to noon March 29. The menu includes ham, sausage, bacon, creamed chipped beef, home fries, pancakes, toast, beverages and eggs any way you like them. Mimosas will be available at additional cost.
Faith Wesleyan Church will stage its 14th annual community Easter egg hunt 11-3 p.m. March 28. The event will take place at the Schnecksville Fire Company, 4550 Old Packhouse Road. There will be prizes for all children, pony rides, games, blowup slides, free snacks and other fun activities. The rain date is April 4. The church is located along Route 309, Orefield.
