Rita M. Mlasgar, 95, of Allentown and formerly of Hazleton, died March 17, 2026, at Above and Beyond at the Knights, Allentown. She was the wife of the late John J. Mlasgar.

Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Koval) Stefanick.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Thomas Brother Gas Company in Hazleton for more than 20 years before retiring. After, she worked part time at Boscov’s.

She is survived by a son, Joseph A. and wife Bonnie of Northampton; a sister, Gazelle Heffner of Glen Mills; a nephew, Dennis Balickie of Chester Springs; four grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
