American Club of Coplay president
Gerald M. Deutsch, 87, died March 21, 2026. He was the husband of Glenda Myers and Kathleen Flores.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edward and Anna (Halushak) Deutsch.
He was a 1957 graduate of Central Catholic High School and received an associate degree in engineering.
He worked for Fuller Company, Bethlehem, for 44 years and finished working as project engineer.
He was president of American Club of Coplay for 45 years until 2024, when he took on lesser roles in the organization.
He is survived by a son, David and wife Mimi; a daughter, Kathleen Bright; a sister, Mary Suppan and husband Thomas; two grandchildren, Daniel and Shelby Bedics and husband Joseph; and a fiancée, Ethel Lavenburg.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Dennis, Ronald and Patrick.
There will be a calling time 9 a.m., followed by a funeral service 10:30 a.m., March 27 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., Whitehall, 18052.
