Effie F. (Hawk) Conrad, 90, of Allentown, died peacefully March 20, 2026 in her residence. She was the loving wife to the late Darien L. Conrad. Born in Jim Thorpe, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Ruth (Kuhns) Hawk.

She spent much of her life caring for her family and creating a wonderful home for friends and family. She worked for a short period of time at Mary Macintosh as an administrative assistant and was a hostess for The Blue Monkey Restaurant.

She was a longtime member of the former Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Allentown.

She is survived by her sons, Brian L. and his companion, Donna Williams, of Whitehall, Gary L. and his wife, Lisa, of Coplay; sisters, Valentine Durner, of Allentown, Mildred Reabold, of Jim Thorpe; grandchildren, Matthew, Jenna, Jessica.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerome, Nathan Jr., William, Shirley, Ann Louise, Naomi, Carol.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. March 27 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. A calling period will begin 10 a.m.
