Doreen Helen Miller died March 16, 2026. She was the wife of the late Donald Miller.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Helen Mae and Marvin Otto Murphy.

She was a 1949 graduate of Whitehall High School.

After raising her children, she spent her career in Whitehall-Coplay School District in the high school library as the assistant to the library teacher. She also worked in the high school office as a secretarial assistant to the school administrators.

She was one of the early members of the Whitehall Woman’s Club and served as secretary for many years, chairing committees and organizing events. She was also a member of Whitehall Historical Preservation Society, Red Hats Society, the Class of 1949 reunion committee and Rose Croix 235 PA Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She served on the altar guild at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, attended Bible study and frequently assisted with committees, events and activities at the church.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Scholtis and husband Dennis of Laurys Station, Diane Conklin and husband Mark of Washington Township and Dawn Seier and husband Albert of Lehigh Township; a daughter-in-law, Janet of North Whitehall Township; three grandchildren, Leigh Scheirer, Gina Johnson and Scott Seier; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Helen Newhard.

She was predeceased by two sons, David and Dean; a sister Winifred Bradford; and a brother, James Murphy.
