Coplay Public Library: Coplay Public Library announces Saturday movie schedule

Come visit Coplay Public Library 11 a.m. Saturdays to watch free movies. The schedule features “We Bought a Zoo” March 28, “Peter Rabbit” April 4, “The Last Mimzy” April 11 and “Up” April 18.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks.

Reminder: Preschool storytime and craft is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 27 and April 10. Registration is not required.

The spring basket raffle is almost here. See the beautiful baskets in the library starting April 6.

The baskets will be on display 4:30-6:30 p.m. April 18 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St. The winning tickets will be drawn at the church.

The library’s spring book and bake sale will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. April 24 and 25. The library is accepting books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles for the spring sale.

For your safety, drop donations off at the circulation desk during open hours. Do not leave donations at the front door.

Try your luck in the 50/50 raffle. Buy your tickets at the library.

The drawing will be held 4 p.m. April 25.

The library is collecting items for Coplay Food Pantry through April 30. Donate an item and receive a coupon for a free book at the upcoming book sale. There is a limit of one coupon per patron.

The library board is seeking new board members. If interested, submit a letter of interest to Coplay Borough Hall, attn: borough council, 98 S. Fourth St., 18037.

The teen and adult coloring group will meet 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. No registration is required.

Sign up your child for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Read any book to your newborn, infant and/or toddler. Keep track of the titles of the books on our convenient reading log sheets or any other method you choose. When patrons reach 50, and then for each 100 books, they will get an award.

There is no time limit to the program, and more than one child can participate.

Fiber Arts and Friends Circle, for teens and adults, regularly meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Learn to crochet, work on a current project or just get advice from our more experienced crafters. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles for you to use if needed.

If you need something to read, watch or listen to, you don’t have to wait for the spring sale! Check out our selection of fiction and nonfiction books for sale. We also have CDs, DVDs and puzzles.

Look for them on the shelves under the circulation desk and on the sale cart. Ask if you need assistance.

If you need to use a computer to search for information or print something, we have six computers for you to use. The library also has a fax machine and copier for public use. You just need to show your library card at the front desk when you come into the library.

If you do not have a library card, it only takes a few minutes to get one. All you need is a form of ID, like a driver’s license.

Library cards are free and may be used at 12 libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.

The library’s hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
