Harold H. Hahn - Bethlehem Steel retiree
Harold H. Hahn, 94, of Bethlehem, died March 7, 2026. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late George and Elva (Barthol) Hahn, and he was the husband of the late Barbara Ann (Harvey) Hahn.
He was a graduate of Liberty HS Class of 1949 and later earned his degree from Bethlehem Business College in 1951.
He proudly served in the United States Army 11th Airborne during the Korean War.
he retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corp. after 35 years. and then continued working an additional 11 years at Faitoute Steel in New Jersey.
He was a longtime member of the Hellertown American Legion, where he maintained his membership for more than 60 years. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time outdoors, and he was an enthusiastic supporter of Bethlehem Steel and Philadelphia sports teams.
He was a member of the former Trinity United Church of Christ in Bethlehem and of St. Thomas United Church of Christ, Bethlehem. He served his church in various consistory positions and coached Little League.
He is survived by his son, James Harold Hahn and wife Margaret and daughter, Nancy A. Ritter and husband James; brother, Earl G. Hahn and wife Colleen; grandchildren, Kyle Hahn and wife Kristen, Madison Varello and husband David, and Jason Ritter; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Lester J. Hahn and Paul B. Hahn, and sister, Arlene Rohland.
