William A. Miller Sr.
William A. Miller, Sr., 79, of New Tripoli, died peacefully at home March 14, 2026. He was the husband of Charlotte M. (Miller) Miller, having celebrated 58 years of marriage. Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Herbert P. and Viola E. (Miller) Miller.
He was a veteran, having proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1967.
He was the longtime owner and operator of Miller’s Auto Body, serving the New Tripoli community for 47 years and previously operating in Krumsville for two years.
He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Kutztown.
He was a member of the Lynnport Fire Company, where he served as former president for 15 years. He was a member of Huguenot Lodge #377 F&AM Kutztown and was a member of the Lehigh Consistory in Allentown, Raja Shrine in Reading and the Virginville Grange.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, William A. Jr. and his wife, Jolene, of New Tripoli; daughter, Valerie A. and her husband, Forrest G. Schaeffer III, of Kutztown; grandchildren, Maggie, Samuel, Sarah Schaeffer, Dalton, Kiersten; step-grandchildren, Brianamarie, Jessica Mitich; brothers, Lester and his wife, Faye, of Kutztown, Rev. Richard and his wife, Carolyn, of Topton, Robert and his wife, Margaret, of Kutztown; sister, Jean Riley, of Homosassa, Fla.
He was predeceased by his siblings Russell, Elizabeth Weigle, Lee.
His funeral service with military honors will be held 11 a.m. March 21 in the Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli. Calling period begins 9:30 a.m. until the Masonic Service 10:45 a.m. Vicar Jeremiah T. Heydt will officiate. I
