Fullerton: St. John’s Lutheran Church plans family fun night

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 835 Third St., will be holding a Friday fun night 6-8 p.m. March 20.

Youth in preschool through fifth grade and their families are invited to participate.

The program includes a supper, craft and baking activities and the telling of stories about Jesus’ last week in Jerusalem.

The handicapped entrance into the building is off Cherry Alley, and the parking lot is between Cherry Alley and Quarry Street.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be holding bingo 1 p.m. March 22. Doors open noon.

Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game, etc. There will be refreshments available for purchase.

Bring a donation of a nonperishable food item, pet food or paper product, such as facial tissues, paper towels or toilet paper, for Whitehall Food Pantry and receive a strip of specials to be played on the first four specials.

Reserving a seat is not necessary, but if you wish to do so, call or text 610-533-1357.

St. John’s Lutheran Church is offering a homemade soup supper 6 p.m. and a Holden evening prayer worship service 7 p.m. March 25. Holden evening prayer by Marty Haugen is a music setting of the vesper service and includes a brief meditation. Mediation this year focuses on stories of resistance.

All are welcome to join in the dinner, worship service or both.

Whitehall Historical Preservation Society will present the program Past and Present of the Lenape People of Pennsylvania with Barbara Michalski March 25 at Helfrich Springs Grist Mill, 501 Mickley Road. The event is free, and all are welcome.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., needs filled baskets for the basket social to be held May 2 and 3.

If you do not wish to make a basket, monetary donations are also being accepted, and volunteers will put a basket together for you. The church is also looking for gift card donations to restaurants and businesses.

If you need a basket, many can be found in room 303 for your use.
