DUI

A 36-year-old female motorist, of Bethlehem, was stopped March 1 in the 1500 block of Broadway for a motor vehicle code violation, according to Salisbury police. The driver was subsequently arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, driving on roadways laned for traffic, restraint systems (seat belt), required financial responsibility (no insurance) and registration card to be signed and exhibited, according to authorities.

A 27-year-old female motorist, of Salisbury Township, was stopped March 5 in the 1500 block of Seidersville Road for a motor vehicle code violation, according to Salisbury police. The driver was subsequently arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and driving on roadways laned for traffic, according to authorities.

A 43-year-old male motorist, of Macungie, was arrested March 5 for allegedly driving under the influence after being involved in a crash in the area of South Pike Avenue and West Rock Road, according to Salisbury police.

A 26-year-old male motorist, of Phillipsburg, N.J., collided with another motor vehicle directly in front of an officer who was in the 1800 block of East Emmaus Avenue and assigned to a targeted DUI patrol March 7, according to Salisbury police. The male was found to be in possession of several bags of marijuana and a bottle of pills, according to authorities. The driver was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and simple possession, according to authorities.

Theft

A 22-year-old male, of Maryland Avenue, sold a couch to a 30-year-old male, of Whitehall online. After the couch was loaded into the buyer’s vehicle, the male drove off before paying for the couch March 5, according to Salisbury police. The male was tracked down by police and returned with the payment, according to authorities.

Disturbances

On Feb. 27 officers were called to a disturbance involving students at Salisbury High School, 500 E. Montgomery St., according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

On Feb. 28 officers were called to the South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., after approximately 100 motor vehicles entered a parking lot at the mall where drivers were said to be allegedly revving their engines and speeding, according to Salisbury police. Salisbury Township Police requested mutual aid assistance from Emmaus police officers, who assisted in clearing out the vehicles and unruly drivers, according to authorities. No arrests were made.

On Feb. 28 officers were called to Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, for a disturbance between a juvenile patient and her caretakers, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

On March 1 officers were called to a disturbance in the 800 block of East Tioga Street, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

On March 2 officers were called to a disturbance involving two students at Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

On March 2, officers were called to the 1500 block of Hausman Avenue for a disturbance between two neighbors regarding trespassing and an overgrown tree, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

On March 4 officers were called to a disturbance at Lehigh Valley Hospital, South Cedar Crest Boulevard, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

On March 5 officers responded twice to the same home in the 1000 block of East Susquehanna Street, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

School grounds violations

A 15-year-old student at Salisbury High School was cited for allegedly having a vaping device on school grounds March 2, according to Salisbury police.

A 15-year-old student at Salisbury High School was charged with simple possession after allegedly being found to be in possession of a vaping device contained THC March 4, according to Salisbury police.

Wanted person

A 32-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody after a traffic stop for a motor vehicle code violation March 6, according to Salisbury police. Officers found the male was a wanted person with an active arrest warrant from Lehigh County, according to authorities.

School bus violations

Between Feb. 17 and Feb. 26, a total of five school bus video violations were approved bringing this school year’s total to 194 approved violations, according to Salisbury police.
