Moore Township: Moore Township Recreation Committee to meet March 19

Moore Township Recreation Committee will meet 7 p.m. March 19 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive.

The committee is providing an opportunity to purchase a brick for the veterans memorial at the recreation center. Visit donate.brickmarkers.com/moore to donate or for information on how to order a memorial brick.

Moore Township Lioness-Lions Club is planning its annual block shoot and meat raffle for 1-5 p.m. March 22 at Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road.

The event is for 12-gauge only, with a 30-inch shotgun barrel length limit. Shells are provided.

There will be door prizes, a cash drawing and hog drawing.

Moore Township Board of Supervisors will next meet 6 p.m. April 7 at the municipal building. An agenda is available on the township website, mooretownship.org.

The township land and environmental protection board’s next meeting is set for 7 p.m. April 13 at the municipal building. The board has successfully preserved countless acres of farmland and open space within the township.

Bingo is held 7 p.m. Tuesdays in the social hall at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Department, 2718 Mountain View Drive. Doors open 5 p.m.

There will be prizes, progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank, wash line bingo and a lot of fun.

The Community Days committee has been absorbed into the township’s recreation committee, and additional members are needed. The recreation committee is planning this year’s Moore Township Community Days.

Moore Township police issued a scam alert for residents. Do not send money via Bitcoin, Cash App or PayPal because of a phone call. The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office does not serve warrants or collect fines or any payments over the phone.

If you are threatened with arrest over the phone, hang up immediately.
