Moore Elementary School spirit days are coming up. Join the fun with your classmates!

March 17: Wear green for St. Patrick’s Day.

March 20: Welcome spring by wearing spring colors.

March 24: Wear grade-level shirts.

March 26: Wear your favorite baseball team jersey or T-shirt.

Soups and Scoops, an Empty Bowls event, is coming 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 19 to the cafeteria at NAMS.

This is a community event focusing on using art to create an impact on food insecurity in the Northampton community. The soup, bread, ice cream and time to relax with friends and family are always enjoyable.

The group is also looking for donations for the event. Visit the school’s website and find the link through the 540 newsletter to donate. Fill out the form to allow organizers to include your business information at the event, or donate at the next tier to include your business on their event T-shirts. Your donation will also allow them to plan for the event, and your participation is greatly appreciated.

Weather permitting, the fifth-grade students will have their panoramic picture taken April 7 during the school day.

Northampton Area School District’s marching band is open to all current seventh-grade to 11th-grade students. All are welcome regardless of ability level, especially dancers and keyboard players.

If you love to perform and want to make friends, join the marching band!

The kickoff meeting will be held 6:30 p.m. April 7 in the auditorium at Northampton Area High School.

Get ready to roll out the red carpet for Northampton Borough Elementary! The PTA dance will be 6-8 p.m. April 17 at the Siegfried building, and this year’s theme is “Borough-wood.” — its very own Hollywood-style red carpet gala!

Students can dress to impress, strike a pose on the red carpet and enjoy a fun night with friends filled with music, dancing and plenty of star-worthy moments.
