Theft arrest

A 51-year-old female, of Allentown, was taken into custody Feb. 20 and charged with alleged theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception, financial exploitation of an older adult, forgery, access device fraud and receiving stolen property after an investigation as to whether the female, who was a caretaker to an elderly resident of Salisbury Township, was stealing from the resident, according to Salisbury Police.

Disturbances

On Feb. 19 officers responded to a location in 800 block of Gilly Avenue for a male “being unhappy with his roommate for eating his food,” according to a press release from Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

On Feb. 24 officers were called to a parking lot of Salisbury Elementary School, 1400 Gaskill Ave., for a disturbance, according to Salisbury police. Both parties involved left the lot before police arrived.

On Feb. 25 officers were called to Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., for a disturbance between two family members, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

On Feb. 26 officers were called to a parking lot at South Mall, 3300 Lehigh St., for a disturbance between a caretaker and his client, according to Salisbury police. No arrests were made.

Theft by unlawful taking

A resident of Rock Cliff Road lent his vehicle to a friend who did not return it, according to Salisbury police. The friend, a 54-year-old female, was charged with alleged theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license. The incident was reported Feb. 21, according to authorities.

Criminal trespass

A 52-year-old male, of Allentown, was charged Feb. 25 with alleged criminal trespass while on the property of Lehigh Valley Hospital, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., according to Salisbury police.

Assists

Salisbury officers responded to gas station Shell, 1132 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., for a vehicle fire Feb. 19, according to Salisbury police. Officers assisted fire crews as needed.

Salisbury officers responded to grocery retailer Giant, 3300 Lehigh St., South Mall, for a natural gas leak Feb. 19, according to Salisbury police. Officers assisted fire crews as needed.

Salisbury officers assisted Pennsylvania State Police with a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 78 near Lehigh Street Feb. 19, according to Salisbury Police.

School bus violations

Between Feb. 17 and Feb. 26, a total of seven school bus video violations were approved bringing the school year’s total to 189 approved violations, according to Salisbury police.
