Week 6 (20)

After another storm canceled action, we see Star of Bethlehem remaining in 1st place with a sweep of Farmersville 2-1, 4-2, and 8-2. Bryan Frankenfield 7-13 led the Star of Bethlehem hitters along with Breanna Frankenfield 6-10 (HR), Walt Hoffert 5-12, Kyle Taylor 5-13, Scott Hoffert 5-14, and Bill Hoke Jr. with a HR. For Farmersville, Wade Chilmonik was 5-9 (HR) and Kyle Campbell with a HR.

Second place Dryland kept pace with a sweep of Ebenezer by scores of 8-0, 2-0, and 10-2. Top hitters for Dryland included Earl Sigley 6-14 (hitting the cycle for the night, with (2 HRs), Rich Durn 5-11, Bernie Yurko 5-13, Dennis Skelton 5-13 (2 HRs), Nate Phares 5-14, Larry Golick 5-15, and Aniti Skelton with a HR. Paul Yoder was 4-12, Joey Blevins 3-6 and Brenda Prestosh 2-5 for Ebenezer.

Emmanuel beat Blessed Trinity 4-3 and 2-0, losing the opener 3-1. Leading the way for Emmanuel were Bob Bast 7-13, Al Nesbitt 5-12, and Jack Hil 4-12 (HR). Kevin Remaly was 4-12, Todd Jones 3-9 (2 HRs) Bob Vorman 2-9 and Dave Kolman with a HR for Blessed Trinity.

The last match of the night finds Christ UCC winning 6-3 and 3-2 losing the nightcap 4-2 to St. Paul’s. Hitters for Christ UCC were Donnie Laudenslager 4-11, Garry Hunsicker 4-12 with HRs from Susie and George Gasper. For St. Paul’s, Jennifer Erkinger was 7-13, Rich Kern 5-12, Brian Gross 4-11, and Kevin Gross 4-13.
