St. Elizabeth of Hungary choir member
Thomas Hohl, 72, of Whitehall, died Feb. 24, 2026. He was the husband of the late Laurie (Anderson) Hohl for 34 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Vincent and Margaret (Farrell) Hohl.
He graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1971 and attended Kean University, American University and received a master’s degree in education in 2000 from Rutgers University.
He retired from the Newark Public School District in 2016.
He was the president of Rosele Public Library Band; a member of St. Joseph the Carpenter choir in Roselle, N.J.; a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church choir in Whitehall; and a coach for Jersey Urban Debate League, Newark, N.J.
He is survived by a brother, Joseph of Upland, Calif.; and four sisters, Sr. Margaret Mary of Albany, N.Y., Nancy Keller of Poughquag, N.Y., RoseMary Digby of Catonsville, Md., and Susan Pereria with John of Springfield, Neb.
He was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Jr.
There will be a calling time 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., March 7 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall, 18052.
