Congratulations to the February Roughies of the Month! The honored students are Gavin Savercool, fifth grade; Giuseppe Mazzola, sixth grade; Yeiser Sanchez Puello, seventh grade; Victoria Rodriguez-Ramos, eighth grade; and Kenna Surita, related arts.
The students will be recognized at the next Catasauqua Area School District Board of Education meeting.

Read Across America Week continues through March 6. Students should wear a college or school spirit shirt March 5 for “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” day and a fun hat March 6 for “Cat in the Hat” day.

A vaping epidemic presentation, provided by Center for Humanistic Change, will be held March 5 for seventh-grade students.
Sixth-grade students will have their presentation March 16.

The Miles to Smiles dental van will be visiting Catasauqua Middle School March 5 and 6. Contact the school nurse for a form or use the Lehigh Valley Health Network portal to register if available.

A basket raffle fundraiser is planned to help support the end-of-year eighth-grade formal dance. The event is set for 5-8 p.m. March 6 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 7 at Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., Catasauqua.
The drawing will be held 12:30 p.m. March 7.
The event will include food and refreshments, including hot dogs, baked goods and snacks, for purchase.

CASD Board of Education will meet 7 p.m. March 10 in the district administration board room, 201 N. 14th St.

The CMS parent teacher forum is next scheduled to meet 6 p.m. March 17.

Catasauqua High School counselors will visit the eighth-grade American history classes March 19.

There will be no school for students March 20. Teachers will have an Act 80 day.

The end of the third quarter is March 31.
