Elsa Rivera, 61, of Allentown, died February 21, 2026, at Bethlehem North Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Queens, NY to Providencia Serrano and Nicholas Rivera.

She was a graduate of Boricua College and dedicated much of her professional life serving others as a paraprofessional and later as a receptionist in a senior living community.

She loved knitting and arts and crafts, and she enjoyed joking around with family and friends.

She is survived by her children; Euclides Lugo Jr. and his wife Berenice Escobar Tapia; Fabian Jose Lugo and his wife Elizabeth Marie Lugo; and Sebastian Lugo and his partner Shanice Ernst; grandmother to Emmanuel Lugo, Ethan Lugo, Emma Lugo, Alejandro Olvera, Scarlett Q. Lugo, Cattleya A. Ernst, Sebastian J. Lugo, and Elliot R. Lugo; siblings Nicholas Serrano, Nelson Rivera, Josephine Rivera, Peter Marquez, Anthony Mendez, and Tanya Lamboy Cruz and their spouses, along with many nieces and nephews. She was redeceased by her parents, and her brothers Carmelo Serrano and Rafael Serrano.
