The Diocese of Allentown Bishop Alfred A. Schlert led a re-dedication Mass Feb. 12 for the renovated chapel at St. Luke’s Hospital, Sacred Heart Campus, 421 W. Chew St., Allentown.
Water from a leaking roof last year caused significant damage to the chapel and the need for it to be fully renovated.
The renovation of this space and the re-dedication Mass is St. Luke’s continued investment in maintaining the Catholic identify of the hospital, a spokesman for St. Luke’s University Health Network stated.
Sacred Heard is grateful for the support and generosity of the O’Neill, Gross and Capobianco families, it was stated at the event.
