Lehigh Township Board of Supervisors heard reports from emergency personnel at its Jan. 13 meeting.
Police Chief John Henry reported 5,410 calls for 2025, including 137 reportable accidents, 83 non-reportable, 311 traffic citations and 180 written warnings. He also reported there were 20 new applications for a new officer position.
Fire Commissioner Richard Hildebrand reported 542 calls for 2025, with 60 overlapping, 88 for mutual aid and 56 mutual aid received.
Public works Director Frank Zamadics got quotes for solar flashing stop signs at $2,500 and is getting quotes on two new pickup trucks.
Zoning Officer Roxann Colfer reported 45 new permits were issued, six were closed, 12 are active, and three are with the magisterial district judge.
The nuisance, fireworks and alcohol ordinances will be updated.
Supervisor Cindy Miller asked about the status of the past tax collector sharing the tax record.
“Mary Trexler, who retired in 2024, has turned over the tax records,” Alice Rehrig, township manager, said. “I am researching how long we can keep certain items and or/shred.”
