Peggy Ann Hill Nelson, 89, of Northampton and formerly of Catasauqua, died Feb. 19, 2026, at home. She was the wife of the late Orval L. Nelson and the late Wilbur E. Hill Sr.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Leroy Park and Margaret May (McNeil) Davies.

She and Wilbur operated Hill’s Restaurant on Bridge Street in Catasauqua until 1996, when their son purchased the restaurant.

She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s/Assumption BVM Catholic Church in Catasauqua, where she served as a kitchen volunteer for many years. She recently became a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church in Northampton.

She was part of the Northampton senior center. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a former Girl Scout leader.

She is survived by three daughters, Faye Ann Keller with husband Frank, Gail Williams with husband David and Lisa Herman with husband Demitry; a son, Wilbur Hill with fiancée Janice Jones; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy Belzecky, Carole Miller and Diane Held; a sister-in-law, Doris Davies; a brother-in-law, Donald Hill and wife Debbie; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was predeceased by a former daughter-in-law, Rosalind “Rossie” Hill; a sister, Shirley Valentine; and a brother, Donald Davies.

There will be a calling time 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m., Feb. 27 at the church, 122 Union St., Catasauqua, 18032.
