Joan H. Rau, 90, formerly of Old Zionsville, died Feb. 23, 2026 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Layman “Jiggs” E. RauSr. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Mabel E. (Gougher) Gerstenberg.

She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.

She is survived by daughters, Colette Walbert, Adrianne Long, Sheila Kline; sons, Layman E. Jr., Keith; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother, Edward Zadravecz; sister, Judith Lazorik.

She was predeceased by a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Feb. 27 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m. before the service in the funeral home. Online condolences may be placed at www.BKRFH.com.
