Darwin R. Haas, 94, of Orefield, died Feb. 19, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Grace L. (Hoppes) Haas to whom he was married 71 years. Born in Andreas, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Russell H. and Arlene M.B. (Semmel) Haas.

He owned and operated Darwin R. Haas Masonry and Plastering in Orefield from 1970-1994. Before that, he worked for his father as a masonry contractor from 1951-1970. He was a member of Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, Orefield.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Terry D. (Tameria), of New Tripoli; daughter, Beverly C. Shellenberger (Scott), of Lehighton; brother, Wayne L. (Carol), of Kempton; grandchildren, Christian, Amy, Jake; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Evan Rose, Blake, Levi.

He was predeceased by siblings, Laird K.S., Shirley A. Wisser, Marilyn E. Werley.
