Catasauqua: St. Mary’s Catholic Church to hold Lenten fish fry March 6

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., will be holding a Lenten fish fry 4:30-6:30 p.m. March 6 in the parish center. The menu consists of breaded fried haddock with a side of homemade tartar sauce, coleslaw, roll with butter, a beverage and a choice of seasoned roasted potatoes or cabbage and noodles and a choice of green beans or applesauce.

If not interested in the fish, choose the cabbage and noodles option, which includes green beans, roll with butter and beverages. Desserts are sold separately.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., is once again having its Warm Up Wednesday soup nights 4-6 p.m. There is a different soup every Wednesday for all Catasauqua residents.

The last day for the program this year is March 25.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., will continue its half-price sale on everything in the shop through March 21.

The shop is happy to accept donations of good, used, clean clothing, household items and toys during regular shop hours, which are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Proceeds from the shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.
