A quick-witted Cockney bloke discovers he’s inherited an immense family fortune in the musical comedy, “Me and My Girl,” 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27, 28; 2 p.m. March 1, Merle Smith Campus-Dyer Auditorium, Moravian Academy, 4313 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township.
With book and lyrics by L. Arthur Rose and Douglas Furber, and book revised by Stephen Fry, with contributions by Mike Ockrent, the music is by Noel Gay.
“Me and My Girl” debuted in 1937 at London’s West End and on Broadway in 1986. The original Broadway production won 3 Tony Awards out of 13 nominations. “The Lambeth Walk,” a 1939 film adaptation of the play was directed by Albert de Courville.
Director and Choreographer Brooke Harrsch is assisted by Music Director Rob Riker.
